The Ballroom
Situated within the manor house is the Regency ballroom. A lavish and opulent ceremony room decorated with magnificent family portraits, delicate chandeliers, gilded mirrors and elegant candelabras. The regency ballroom allows 102 family and friends to share the joyous moment of exchanging vows. There is an option to extend the ballroom capacity by adding a marquee extension allowing up to 140 guests.

The Bandstand
Cushioned under a natural canopy of antient trees and dappled shade is the picturesque bandstand. An ideal space for those considering a garden themed wedding. Surrounded by natural parkland including a host of animals such as Shetland ponies, ducks and peacocks that freely roam the grounds. This wonderful relaxed setting is ideal for those wishing to plan an unconventional wedding in an informal manner.

The Pergola
Positioned within the Victorian walled garden and cushioned alongside a traditional apple orchard is the pergola, a picturesque hidden gem perfect for weddings and celebrations. Nestled amongst an idyllic beautiful English country garden full of fragrant English roses, scented jasmine, and honeysuckle, the pergola offers those wishing for an ultra-laid back affair the perfect outdoor ceremony space for up to 170 loved ones.

The Church Service
If you fancy a church service, Maunsel House is located only a short walk from St Michael’s Church, which is one of the smallest churches in England and a beautiful Somerset wedding venue. An enchanting candlelit Saxon Chapel, this charming church seats up to 50 guests. The famous author Geoffrey Chaucer based his character ‘The Wife of Bath’ on a local lady who was married there 5 times.
For larger church ceremonies, there are two other Church of England churches within the Parish: St Peter’s in North Newton, which seats 150 and The Minister Church, St. Mary the Virgin in North Petherton, which seats 250. With both located within a 5-minute drive from the Maunsel Estate, we are able to use either of these beautiful churches as your wedding venue and hold your reception here at the house afterwards.
