WHAT IS A MAUNSEL HOUSE WEDDING OPEN DAY
An open day here at Maunsel House is very different to a wedding fair as it allows newly engaged couples the opportunity to view our house and grounds either by a pre-arranged appointment with a member of our events team or the freedom to join us at your own leisure to view the house and grounds.
We don’t have stalls or stands exhibiting at our venue but we do have a collection of our preferred suppliers who come along and beautifully style our venue to help guide and inspire you, in turn helping you visualise your very own wedding day here at Maunsel House.
Upon arrival you will be greeted with a glass of bubbly and a welcome pack which includes our brochure, venue hire prices and information regarding our caterers.
HOW OFTEN DO OUR WEDDING OPEN DAYS OCCUR
We arrange our main wedding open days on a seasonal basis, with our next one being planned for this coming Autumn on the 26th October. We also hold regular open evenings, but these are planned on a smaller scale whereby we do not have suppliers attend however the venue is still dressed and set up styled to create a wedding scenario. You are again able to book a pre-arranged viewing appointment with a member of our wedding and events team, or if you wish you may join us at your own leisure and take a stroll around the house and gardens.
BE INSPIRED BY OUR PREFERRED SUPPLIERS
We love to help and support our preferred suppliers, and our open days are a great way for us to do this. We love and admire all of our preferred suppliers but one in particular is Keeping It Vintage who are a Devon based company who specialise in styling events and tableware hire, they have the most amazing selection of luxury event décor ranging from gold cutlery, charger plates and more. Our preferred florist Suzy owns Blooming Divine, who, working closely with Keeping It Vintage on our open day created the prettiest of styled tables for our ballroom in blush, gold and grey, along with complimentary stationery designed by Nikki from Knots and Kisses.
We also were very fortunate to have Somerset based The Little Buttercup Cakery join us who designed two fabulous wedding cakes as well as the prettiest hand painted macaron wedding favours and some prosecco and raspberry flavoured cake samples.
Throughout the day our preferred caterers, The French Kitchen served a selection of delicious mouth-watering canopes including quail egg and crispy bacon filo croustade, sweet potato, cumin and chickpea samosa, vegetable bhaaji with coconut chutney, and chicken teriyaki skewers.
We were also joined by James A Photography who captured moments from the open day with stunning images of our ballroom, pergola and
