Beginning this year Maunsel House now offers you the exciting opportunity to stay on the estate choosing either one of our luxury holiday cottages, sleeping from 6 -10 persons, or the option to have a short stay in our bed and breakfast accommodation. The option of bed and breakfast includes a choice of thirteen stunning bedrooms within the manor house ranging from the King’s Room, one of the the grandest of rooms in Somerset with its very own copper bath, to the Victorian room with elegant blue stained glass windows and pretty pastel interiors, or alternatively our bed and breakfast option in our newly renovated South wing quarters offering a further four luxurious rooms all at ground level and each with a light relaxing airy atmosphere looking out over our picturesque apple orchard.
STAYING AT MAUNSEL HOUSE
Whilst staying here in one of our luxury holiday cottages at Maunsel House you have the freedom to take a stroll around the grounds, picnic on the lawn, relax in our courtyard, visit the Victorian kitchen garden, or take a leisurely walk along our canal path which in turn leads to a quaint little cafe, or if planned prior to your stay a guided tour of the eccentric manor house whereby you will learn about the history of Maunsel House whilst being the ancestral home to the Slade family for centuries and now owned and wonderfully restored by Sir Benjamin Slade, 7th Baronet.

Maunsel House in Somerset is ideally situated and the ideal base for exploring the area and stunning countryside of Somerset. Visit the city of Well’s in Somerset with its historic medieval market square and Cathedral or take a trip to Cheddar Gorge or Wookey Hole and discover the underground caves deep under the Somerset Mendip hills, or if you prefer a shopping trip then Clarks Designer Outlet Village is a great place to visit with many restaurants to choose from for a spot of lunch! Travelling further afield you will discover the Royal Fleet Air Museum or a choice of scenic National Trust and English heritage properties.
