I remember my very first meeting with Ruth, it was a weekday and she was having a day of venue viewing. We toured the house and chatted as we went, finishing in the library with tea and biscuits. I think we were both disappointed when the time came for Ruth to leave for her next appointment; as we both knew Maunsel had won her heart and was the venue.
After Grant & Ruth attended an event at the house I was delighted that Grant was just as fond as Maunsel as Ruth was! The date was set and Grant & Ruth become a part of our Maunsel family
As the planning for the big day got underway Grant & Ruth were introduced to Elizabeth Haigh (Head of Sales & Events at Maunsel House) as their wedding coordinator. After Elizabeth’s first meeting with Ruth she came rushing into the office gushing “I looooooove Ruth!” and that pretty much sums up every other element of Grant & Ruth’s wedding when Elizabeth and I came to discuss it.
When the day itself was finally here the house was buzzing with Grant & Ruth’s friends and family – teas, coffees and mince pies being enjoyed in the bar, finishing touches being made to the hand painted table plan, nieces practicing walking down the aisle as they took their bridesmaid duties very seriously (Super cute!).
Our in house floral designer, Dinah Taylor arrived to deliver the beautiful arrangements for the bridal party, table arrrngents, place cards and finishing touches for the cheese tower. Dinah worked closely with Ruth on bringing elements of Maunsel into the floral arrangements and we think the use of feathers found in the estate grounds was a beautiful touch. My personal favourite is the place name tags with pheasant feathers.
“It was an honour to be a part of your wedding, I loved every minute of it! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together and truly hope to see you both again very soon.”
